To be honest, it amazed us that the song made such an impact and that it is still remembered. So we did underground radio in places like Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco. But we had these psychedelics and arrangements that became famous at the time. At the time, you couldn’t have a song on the radio for more than three minutes. We were only 20-21 years old when Vanilla Fudge first released this song.
